Submitting to Residencies

Over the last few years I have interacted with many writers who have asked about my experiences with residencies. From curiosity to serious potential applicants, I noticed a trend in these encounters: physical tools were never exchanged. By creating this space online, I hope to help other writers figure out if residencies are for them, how to research, and how to apply.

The one-hour online workshop will cover the following topics:

> Introduction to Residencies
> Research Resources
> Application Process
> Artist Statement/Project Proposals
> Any other Questions/Concerns

Capacity for each workshop is set at 10 (ten) people to allow sufficient time to answer individual questions.

2021 Workshops

For this summer, I am holding two workshops due to the limits of my own work load.

I understand, within my community, money is not always accessible and I do not want to keep someone financially strapped from participating in my workshop. If you’re able to donate a dollar or two, that will help tremendously as I move forward with these workshops. If you’d like me to speak with your writer’s group or classroom, please feel free to reach out and we can arrange something.
